Panos-CMS Young Environment Journalists Awards 2011 presented
Panos South Asia in association with CMS has announced the Panos- CMS Young Environment journalists Awards for the year 2011.Soma Basu of The Statesman, Kolkata is the winner in the print category and Manu C Kumar of Manorama News, Mumbai is the winner in the Electronic Media category. The awards which includes a citation and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 each wiere presented to the winners at the inaugural ceremony of the CMS-Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife film festival,on December 6th at New Delhi.The awards are presented for excellence in environmental journalism to individuals who have done "exemplary investigative and inspired reporting on environment issues in the country"
